🔍 What is lemon meringue pie?

A classic dessert made with a buttery crust, tart lemon filling, and a fluffy toasted meringue topping.


⭐ Ingredients

Crust:

  • 1 pie crust (store-bought or homemade)

Filling:

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1 cup water
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 1/2 cup lemon juice

Meringue:

  • 3 egg whites
  • 1/4 cup sugar

👹‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Bake pie crust and set aside
  2. Cook filling until thick; pour into crust
  3. Whip egg whites + sugar into stiff peaks
  4. Spread meringue over filling
  5. Bake at 350°F until golden
